Condition with a neutral leather balm twice a year. Rain marks fade as the leather dries; keep away from direct heat. Scratches are part of the surface and blend in with wear.

Tumar uses full-grain hides vegetable-tanned in Almaty, cut with a knife rather than a die, and saddle-stitched by hand with waxed linen thread — the same two-needle stitch that holds a horse's harness together. Hardware is solid brass. Pieces darken and soften with use and are meant to be repaired, not replaced.
