Vegetable-tanned full-grain cowhide (2.2 mm), waxed linen thread, solid brass. 38 × 30 × 14 cm, 1.1 kg.

Each piece is made by hand; small variations are part of its character.

Condition with a neutral leather balm twice a year. Rain marks fade as the leather dries; keep away from direct heat. Scratches are part of the surface and blend in with wear.

Saddler's stitching and vegetable-tanned hide, for the city rather than the steppe.

Daniyar trained as a saddler before turning to bags. Tumar uses full-grain hides vegetable-tanned in Almaty, cut with a knife rather than a die, and saddle-stitched by hand with waxed linen thread — the same two-needle stitch that holds a horse's harness together. Hardware is solid brass. Pieces darken and soften with use and are meant to be repaired, not replaced.
