A full-size suzani in the Nurata style: a central medallion of stylised flowers within a lattice of vines, in madder red, indigo and saffron silk on hand-loomed cotton. Four months of work by three embroiderers; their names are stitched into the border.

Materials & making
Silk thread on hand-loomed cotton, natural dyes. 240 × 170 cm, 1.4 kg.
Each piece is made by hand; small variations are part of its character.
Care
Dry clean, or hand wash cold with a mild wool detergent, roll in a towel and dry flat away from sun. Iron on the reverse at silk setting. Natural dyes soften slightly with the first wash — this is expected.
